Blyde Wildlife Estate, 11 May 2019, Hoedspruit
Part of the Pam Golding Wildlife Estate Trail Run Series, the Blyde Trail Run is the third on the list. Set in the exclusive Blyde Wildlife Estate, you will get a chance to run on the banks of the beautiful Blyde River. The river is teaming with hippo and crocs so run that section fast! There will also other various species to see on your run.

Start: 20km – 7am, 11km – 7:30am, 5km – 7:45am.

Walkers are welcome on the 5km and 10km courses. Kids under 11 must be accompanied by an adult.
Number collection & late entries from 6am – 7:30am. Please arrive with plenty of time to process your registration!

A KidZone will be available for children 2yrs+, so parents can get out on the trails! Experienced childminders and stimulating, fun games will be available R30-00 per child. (What’s a KidZone?)
There is plenty accommodation in and around Hoedspruit via Airbnb but we will post options closer to the venue on our Facebook page where possible.

Pre-entries close at Midnight on Thursday the day before the event. Late entries are available, but R40.00 surcharge applies (U18s exempt).
The series, being heavily community focused, has some great opportunities for you to contribute towards the environment and runners who otherwise would not have had the exposure to these type of events. A portion of your entry fee for this event will go towards fund a raising initiative allocated by the reserve.
Each event will also have a shoe drop box which will allow you to donate old or new running shoes to those who could sorely use a decent pair.

Blyde Wildlife Estate is a 394 hectare wildlife estate situated along the Blyde River with exquisite views of the Drakensberg Mountains and riverine forest. The estate, which is now pet friendly, consists of 154 full title stands of approximately 4000 square meters each, a clubhouse with restaurant, spa, gym and picnic site. Also within the Estate is a wilderness area for outdoor enjoyment. The estate is home to a large number of plains game such as Waterbuck, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Nyala, Impala and Kudu to name a few.
